Sometimes MAG Audio products that have not yet been officially announced can be seen at real concerts and other events. Of course, this is not because we are hiding new products from you. We simply consider it necessary to conduct a full cycle of testing of acoustic systems not only in laboratory conditions but also on live stages, even before the start of serial production.
This time we even decided to make a photo report from one of these pre-series “run-ins” at a charity concert at the Prometheus Cultural Center located in the city of Brovary, near Kyiv.
The hero of the publication is the compact coaxial universal speaker Sting 6Q. Its official announcement will take place in the coming days, so you will know all the details a little later. For now, let’s show you an example of working as a “front fill”, that is, a first-level filling acoustics, which in the case of a wide stage has the task of providing high-quality coverage in the front rows in the central part of the hall, where direct sound from the portals gets in insufficient quantities, especially at high frequencies.
As the main system, the older MAG Audio Sting 8 model was used with Sub18 subwoofers, which perfectly worked out the hall for 500 seats, except for the central front zone. That’s where 4 x Sting 6Q came to the rescue. For amplification, Powersoft amplifiers were traditionally used, for which we have already created the appropriate presets.
