STING 6Qi

Sting 6Qi can be mounted using the VESA adapter points on the back, and is connected using an installation-friendly Phoenix connector. Sting 6Qi is available in 8/16 Ohm and is a perfect choice for small-profile yet high-demanding retail, club, or leisure fixed installations.

The STING 6Qi is a super-compact coaxial loudspeaker designed for applications where precise, high-quality sound must come from an unobtrusive form factor. Despite its size, it delivers the clarity, dynamics, and tonal accuracy expected from a professional point-source speaker. This makes it ideal for front-fill use, small rooms, musician or orchestra monitoring, and other applications where space is limited, but performance is essential.

At the core of the STING 6Qi is a custom-engineered 6-inch coaxial transducer. The low-frequency section uses two aluminum demodulation rings and an optimized rib-wound coil to minimize distortion and improve linearity, while the 1.5-inch titanium diaphragm high-frequency driver is coupled to a 100° × 100° conical horn. This coaxial topology ensures excellent phase coherence, precise imaging, and a smooth, linear frequency response across the entire operating range, allowing the loudspeaker to maintain natural detail even at very short listening distances.

Given the fact that the stability of the microphone stand depends heavily on its design, we also provide a more reliable and predictable mounting option using a standard 35 mm pole by means of an adapter. This option also offers better compatibility if you need to install a loudspeaker on a subwoofer. We offer the adapters for a 35 mm pole in two versions, a fixed ST6-PM and a more advanced ST6-PM30 model, which offers an adjustable angle between +20° and -10°.

Another accessory is a unique stand - ST6-TA - which engineers of the rental companies will appreciate. This stand not only allows you to securely install the loudspeaker on any surface, but it also provides the desired angle of inclination between +45° and -25°. Most ideal for front-fills. Of course, we're also offering a bracket for overhead installation for model STING 6Qi - CBM-150 - which allows a -0°to -90° tilt and 360° rotation.

For other installation options, primarily wall mounting, a standard VESA 100 x 100 mount is provided on the back of the speaker. We strongly recommend using the reliable products for model STING 6Qi of our partner MN Mounting Solutions, such as p/n WRM. Also, the wall mount bracket for STING 6Qi is a WRM-ST6.

The MN Mounting FS-6Q is a fixed stand, 140 cm tall, that allows for a quick and secure installation of the Sting 6Qi speaker. It is ideally suited for mobile applications, monitoring, and zone coverage. Its robust base plate and weight of 19 kg ensure maximum stability. For utmost convenience, the stand includes an internal acoustic cable with Neutrik Speakon connectors for a tidy and efficient connection. The MN FS-6Q is available in black and white versions.

Its enclosure is built using MAG Audio’s proprietary Polycomp© hybrid anti-resonance technology, a composite structure combining 75% wood and 25% polyurethane. The differing material densities reduce parasitic vibrations, while the internal geometry helps suppress standing waves, resulting in a cleaner, more controlled acoustic performance.
