New MAG products at the first Precompression Kyiv party

No visitors, no sponsorship, and no borders or limits. No limits to self-expression, communication, and creativity. This is the philosophy of Burning Man – an illustrious unique event, that takes place annually in Black Rock Desert, the USA, gathering tens of thousands of like-minded and open-hearted people.

Now Ukraine has also started to spread the ideas and values of the world burners’ community: on May 26th the first Precompression party took place in Kyiv, as an official regional event of the Burning Man festival.

The territory of limitless art and communal effort was created in the VDNG cultural and exhibition center in Kyiv. There, at one of the event’s locations, the sound was ensured by the MAG Audio products – the new VerA L set and MAG Wasp line array.

The format of the event – Precompression party – means a kind of “preparation” for the festival. Since it’s the very first experience for Ukraine, the event’s mission is also to share with the participants the culture and atmosphere of the original Burning Man. The event was organized by the “UBurners” Ukrainian Burners community, formed by the frequent participants of Burning Man in the USA.

A precompression party implies no visitors, but participants only. Anyone may play a part in the event, be that an artist, a musician, a designer – anyone who wants to translate the idea into reality or just to spend time with soulmates.

There were in total 11 locations at the Precompression party dedicated to installations, art-object, and leisure areas of all kinds. To provide sound reinforcement in one of them there were installed brand new MAG Audio products: powered Plug’n’Play MAG VerA L set, with a total power of 4.5 kW, for a DJ place; and 16 modules of MAG Wasp line array, supported by MAG Sub H28 subwoofers. Passive systems were powered by Powersoft X8 amplifiers.

The participants of Precompression Kyiv can assure you: that you could feel the atmosphere of Burning Man in Kyiv that day. And to become a part, even a small one, of the event so unique and so new for Ukraine, is a truly valuable experience.
