November 7, the anticipated award-winning drama “Homeward” was released in Ukraine! The movie was selected as the Ukrainian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards, better known as ‘The Oscars’. It was first screened at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival in May; as for the Ukraianian audience, the movie premiered at this year’s Odesa International Film Festival where it won first prize. And by the way, one of the festival’s stages was equipped with the #MAGAudio acoustic systems!
Odesa International Film Festival is one of the biggest annual film festivals in Eastern Europe. This year it was held 12-20 July. During 9 days, festival guests were enjoying exclusive film premiers, workshops of leading filmmakers and unique festive atmosphere.
The competition program premiers and the awards ceremony took place at the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. In addition, during the festival, two open-air performances took place at the Potemkin Stairs. On July 13, a silent movie “Cossacks” (1928), accompanied by a symphony orchestra, was shown to the festival audience. And on July 19, “NovaOpera” and “TseSho” bands performed the opera “Stairs To…”.
